LiLi MacArthur
LiLi is a jewelry artist and metalsmith completing her BA in Art at Colorado College, with a minor in Psychoanalysis. Originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, she has worked across a range of mediums throughout her artistic practice before finding her way to metalsmithing in 2024.
Her psychoanalysis minor, rooted in Jungian ideas of symbolic living, informs the conceptual foundation of her work, exploring the meaning we project onto objects, motifs, and rituals, and the role jewelry plays in identity, memory, and psychological life.
LiLi’s jewelry is inspired by functional ornament, symbolic motifs, and jewelry as meaning rather than object. Each piece is handcrafted in sterling silver, balancing delicacy with strength. Her work is rooted in the belief that what we choose to wear close to the body carries something of ourselves, our memories, our identity, and people or moments we hold close. These pieces are made to be worn, felt, and cherished.
